Background
Flavio Meliadò obtained a bachelor’s and master’s degree intelecommunication engineering from Mediterranea University of Reggio Calabria in 2005 and 2009 respectively. After his bachelor’s degree he started working full time for a telecommunications company (Sielte Spa). However, after his master’s degree, he decided to devote himself to research. From 2009 to 2014 he was part of the research group of Selex Sistemi Integrati (nowadays Leonardo Spa) for the development of antenna arrays for radar applications. At the same time, he obtained a master’s degree in robotics and intelligent systems. In 2015, to follow his desire to work in the biomedical field, he moved to Utrecht where he started working with Nico van den Berg, Alexander Raaijmakers and Alessandro Sbrizzi on the HoliDes project.

Currently, Flavio lives in Lugano (Switzerland), however he is a PhD candidate working on RF safety assessemnt at ultra-high-field (7 Tesla) with both Nico van den Berg and Alexander Raaijmakers as co-promoters. He is also an employee of Tesla Dynamic Coils BV.
