Background
Gabrio Rizzuti has a background in pure and applied Mathematics. He obtained a PhD at the Delft University of Technology (2017), specializing on seismic imaging. He also has industrial experience as a research geophysicist (Delft Inversion). In 2018-2020, he joined Georgia Institute of Technology as a research scientist, furthering his interests in large-scale inverse problems involving PDEs, fast PDE solvers, and uncertainty quantification via deep-learning techniques. From 2021, he is a postdoc in Utrecht, with a double appointment at the mathematical department and the UMC. His work consists in patient motion correction for multicontrast MRI.
