Background

Bas Schilder received his Bachelor’s (2018) and Master’s (2023) degree in Technical Medicine from the University of Twente. During his Master’s, he did the Medical Imaging and Intervention track and throughout his internships he focussed on medical imaging, oncology and the potential role of artificial intelligence in Radiology. His Master’s project was on denoising and artefact removal in MR Spectroscopy using deep learning and wavelet analysis.

Currently, Bas works as a PhD student in the Computational Imaging Group under the supervision of Alessandro Sbrizzi and Nico van den Berg. His work focusses on clinical validation of MR-STAT and responsible innovation.
