At the Dutch Life Sciences Conference on 24 november 2022, it was announced that PrecorDx has won the Venture Challenge. PrecorDx is the envisioned spinoff company of Jaap de Bruin, Nico van den Berg and Bart Steensma. The company will focus on implementation of radio-frequency sensing for home monitoring of heart failure patients.
The venture challenge was a crash course on business development around scientific ideas. The program consisted of several workshops during which the ins and outs of beginning a startup are discussed with experienced mentors and within the team. A total of 5 teams participated and competed for the prize money of 25.000 euro in a pitch for a team of investors.
